Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan

Manager of King Kong Bundy — WWF Title Main Event

Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan accompanied King Kong Bundy to the ring for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match against Hulk Hogan. The Steel Cage stipulation was partially chosen to prevent Heenan's notorious interference from affecting the outcome — but the wily manager still found ways to torment Hogan from ringside. After Bundy's defeat, Hogan exacted revenge by catching Heenan inside the cage, ramming his head into the steel, and atomic dropping him to the arena floor. Heenan's post-match humiliation was one of the most satisfying moments of the night for the Los Angeles crowd.

Miss Elizabeth

Manager of Randy 'Macho Man' Savage — IC Title Match

Miss Elizabeth — Randy Savage's real-life wife and on-screen valet — accompanied the Macho Man to the ring for his Intercontinental Championship defence against George Steele. Her presence was the central dramatic element of the match: Steele's infatuation with Elizabeth repeatedly distracted him from winning the title. Elizabeth remained composed and loyal to Savage throughout, though the crowd clearly felt sympathy for the lovestruck Animal. Her WrestleMania 2 appearance continued one of the WWF's most compelling human storylines of the era.

Captain Lou Albano

Manager of the British Bulldogs — Tag Title Match

The legendary Captain Lou Albano — who had previously been associated with numerous heel tag teams — had undergone a character reformation and was now serving as the manager of the babyface British Bulldogs. Albano joined Ozzy Osbourne in the Bulldogs' corner for the Tag Team Championship match in Chicago, and his presence added considerable veteran gravitas to the celebration when Davey Boy Smith pinned Greg Valentine to win the titles.

Mr. Fuji

Manager of Don Muraco — Opening Match

Mr. Fuji, one of the most enduring managers in WWF history, accompanied 'The Magnificent' Don Muraco in the opening contest against Paul Orndorff. Fuji's presence added the expected underhanded element to the match, though the contest still ended in a double countout that satisfied neither competitor nor manager. Fuji's long career as both manager and occasional wrestler made him a recognisable and effective ringside presence throughout the 1980s.

Jimmy Hart

Manager of Adrian Adonis and the Funk Brothers

The Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart served double duty at WrestleMania 2, managing both 'Adorable' Adrian Adonis in his match against Uncle Elmer and the tag team of Terry and Hoss Funk in their contest against Tito Santana and the Junkyard Dog. Hart's megaphone — his infamous weapon of choice — played a decisive role in the Funk brothers' victory when Terry Funk used it to strike the Junkyard Dog behind the referee's back.

'Classy' Freddie Blassie

Manager of Nikolai Volkoff — Flag Match

The legendary Freddie Blassie — one of the most iconic managers in wrestling history — accompanied Nikolai Volkoff to the ring for the Flag Match against Corporal Kirchner. Blassie attempted to provide his cane to Volkoff as an illegal weapon, but in a moment of poetic justice, Kirchner caught the cane and used it on Volkoff instead, securing the American victory. The moment was a perfect example of the villain's own weapon being turned against him.
