In the Super Over, RCB batted first — Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers scored 15. De Villiers hit back-to-back sixes off the final two deliveries to produce a target of 15. Ravi Rampaul then bowled brilliantly for RCB, taking David Warner's wicket off the first ball. Delhi fell 4 runs short. RCB won by 4 runs.

The most extraordinary tied match in IPL history — the only time the Super Over itself has also ended in a tie. Both teams scored 191 in the main match. In the Super Over, KKR's Suryakumar Yadav batted brilliantly but KKR were restricted to 11. RR's Steve Smith then hit two off the last ball knowing it was enough — calculating that the second run would match KKR's 11 and force a boundary countback. Both teams scored 11. RR had hit more boundaries in the match, so Rajasthan Royals were declared winners.
