The IPL title has been won by franchises representing eight different Indian cities — and one city with a team that has since been dissolved (Hyderabad's Deccan Chargers, now SRH). Mumbai and Chennai are joint-most successful cities with five titles each, followed by Kolkata with three. Among cities to have won the title only once: Jaipur (Rajasthan Royals, 2008), Hyderabad (Deccan Chargers 2009 + SRH 2016 = 2 titles for the city), Ahmedabad (Gujarat Titans, 2022), and Bengaluru (RCB, 2025). Delhi, Punjab, and Lucknow are among the major IPL cities yet to win a title.
